Where the Mountains Meet the Sea

Yes, I know,
It was inevitable.

Even though,
We love each other,

We know,
We really, must soon go.

So, we’ll part our ways,
And lives our lives alone.

You feel at ease on a mountain top,
But I prefer a sandy beach.

You like the mountain air,
I prefer a salty breeze.

And so it is, that you must go,
Where tall trees grow and rivers flow.

And I in turn, will go my way,
Where seagulls soar over a sunlit bay.

Perhaps, someday, we’ll meet again,
And talk of happy times.

Where salty breezes sway tall trees…
And the mountains meet the sea.

From the mountains of Montana to the Pacific Ocean of the Hawaiian Islands…
